First time was for a set of recliners which we had delivered in about 7 days or so with UPS. Home Cinema Center brought them into our garage which is their typical delivery location. I was absolutely willing to wait until December, but because of that terrible experience, I will be canceling my order. I purchased a bunk bed for my kids from this website. Delivery was quick and I was excited to put the beds together. The weekend came and when we went to assemble the bunk beds my husband notice the head board was faulty and had come apart.

He will not even identify himself when you call. His name is most likely marc burnetter according the bbb and facebook who indicate he is or was the sole proprietor of “homecinemacenter.com”. When someone responds, the correspondence is barely civil. I can see from complaints here and other places online that this is a pattern and a problem with Home Cinema Center. We need a replacement for the broken piece. We have all the documentation and photos.

Yes, the bed is REAL wood, not pressed particle board, and it's beautiful. We live in a very rural area so finding furniture out here is very difficult. In point of fact, they now owe me storage charges for this unusable recliner! It is always the same rude, and childish guy that answers the phone no matter when you call the company contact number .

Home Cinema Center has been called the best online furniture superstore, "Where Smart Shoppers Buy Furniture & Save." Anyways, I didn't get a pleasant or comfortable vibe from the customer service rep, who I spoke to twice each time I called.

The box had a 2' rip down the side and it caught my attention. Upon further inspection the furniture had a hole punched in the side. The item never made it off the truck and was returned to shipping co. I signed paperwork damaged, not recd. We will be doing a charge back from our CC company ASAP. There are plenty of other retailers online that provide excellent customer service, stand behind their products and value their reputation.
I was insulted and horrified by the treatment we received. The next time we ordered a bedroom set & sectional. There was a free promotion at the time for free shipping, which we received on the entire order. Since this was free, we decided to upgrade to white glove delivery by phone. Customer service was very helpful, and placed the order for us. This was a nice treat, where a 3 person crew took everything off the truck, moved around our old furniture, and disposed of all the packaging.
She contacted Hillsdale Furniture right away and within a week we had all the nuts and bolts., shipped to us from the factory. Ordered a over sized sofa chair on Jan 23rd. Received email on Jan 30th stating that the chair had shipped and to expect phone call with in 5 to 7 business days to set up delivery in our area. We were never contacted so called shipping company for status. After a wild goose chase to track down chair we were informed that the chair was never shipped, was sitting in warehouse entire time. Home Cinema blamed the shipping company, shipping company blamed Home Cinema, nobody wants to take blame for mistake.
The furniture arrived minus two of the hostess chairs. We had it documented on the shipping paperwork that Home Cinema Center were missing and the shipping company confirmed. We immediately reported it to the company via email and phone calls. They would not speak to us on the phone. After trying to correct their mistake for 2 months we finally had to deal with it through our credit card company. Once in the dispute stage, they called us liars and said we were fraudulent people just trying to get furniture for free.
Anyone can go to the BBB website and read all the similar experiences others have had with them. After nearly a month from purchase, the chair was delivered. This is what Home Cinema Center do not communicate to you and this is how they get you. The Driver will "drop off" the item. The Driver will not come inside home.
We noticed everything was perfect upon delivery....and they again double-checked with us to be sure everything was alright. She helped us pick the right furniture for the right rooms. Amanda continued following up until delivery day. We are now all set, and we can't be happier with our furniture. Thanks again HCC, and we will reach out for more furniture very soon.
